Reader automatically gets Deactivated (says Not Activated)

If a reader, that was previously activated, suddenly shows Not Activated on the reader's display, it could mean that the reader was able to reset itself back to it's factory default settings. 

Proceed as follows...

1. Unmount the reader and locate the red button on the reader's circuit board:


2. Press and Depress this button one or two times (there were a few cases where this button was partially stuck in it's pressed state, which would cause a Factory Default on the reader. This action might help get it unstuck)

3. Use your Activation card to re-activate the reader

4. Once the reader's been re-activated, get in contact with our technical support team so we can deploy newer firmware to correct this issue.
