Discount Cards/Administered Accounts
You can configure any regular user card to always have a specified discount off of the currently displayed vend price.
For instance, you might have special cards for seniors that give 10% off; or cards for your nightly wholesale customers with 40% off.
Note: This process of administering a regular user's card, to apply a discount to it, should
NOT be confused with
creating a Management Card for an employee.
An administrated card is simply a regular user card that can have a specified discount applied to it through the Laundro Portal.
A
Management Card (Property Management Card) is a type of system card that allows special access and capabilities.
- Log on to the web Portal
- Search for the card in Card Tracker
- Go into the Administrative Info tab
- Check off Administrate this card
- You can select one of the pre-defined discount groups, or you can create and customize your own groups using the Add Discount Group button.
For instance, you might want a more specific discount such as 25% off for Washers ONLY.
You can view all of the cards you've administered by clicking on Administered Accounts found in the Management Tools section of the web Portal.
Note: In order for the web Portal to successfully lookup and find a card that you are searching for, the card needs to be registered with the system.
When a card is dispensed by the VAC, or simply placed on the VAC's card reader, the VAC will automatically read it and initialize it with the online system.
For example, if you pick a card from a new stack of cards and try to search for it, you will get no results as the online system does not know any about this card.
Placing this new card on the VAC reader, or dispensing a new card through the VAC, will initialize the card, and it will then become searchable via the web Portal.
Note: Any card you administer to receive a specified discount will always get this specified discount off of whatever the display vend price is on the reader's display.
If you are running some other discount that specifically discounts the price on the reader, an administered card will receive BOTH discounts.
For Example, if an administered card normally receives 10% off, and you've also set up your dryer readers so they are %50 off on Tuesdays, the customer with the 10% discount card will receive their 10% discount off of the already discounted 50% dryer readers on Tuesdays.
