This installation covers LG Washers and Dryers with a serial communication interface. Card-ready and coin-prep models are supported.

Installation

  1. Using the machine programming menu, set the cycle prices (see LG user manual)

  2. Using the machine programming menu, set the machine to “Card” mode and the “Pay” mode (see LG user manual)

  3. Before proceeding, you should assign numbers to each of the machines in the laundry room/building. It is highly recommended that you place number labels on each washer and dryer machine.

  4. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch on the Reader circuit board: 



    See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number.

  5. Turn machine power OFF!

  6. Remove the coin drop if present

  7. The reader mounts over the card slot.



    If there are no holes above and below the card slot, you will need to drill holes into the machine to mount the reader

  8. Open the service compartment to access to machine's control board and wire harnesses

  9. Feed the provided 6-wire reader cable harness through the card slot

  10. Connect the provided 6-wire cable harness between the card reader and the machine's black connector, as shown below:



    The machine's black connector is usually found behind the machine's display, as shown below:

      

  11. Proceed to secure the reader to the machine using the nuts

  12. Activate the reader using the provided Activation Card:



Vend Pricing

This is set on the machine itself and not through the card system. The reader will grab the vend prices directly from the machine when it boots up
