Installation
- Number the Card Readers
Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch found on the reader circuit board:
See our DIP switch settings article to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and reader number. - Turn machine power OFF!
- Remove the coin drop if present
- Connect the reader wiring harness to the RS485 port on the HMI (right behind the touch display)
This is Port X7. It is the second port from the top on the left (if facing the front of the touch display) - Secure the reader to the front.
You may need to drill a few small holes on the front panel, to mount the reader where the coin drop has been removed. Card ready machines will have a spot where the reader mounts, but you may still need to drill a hole for one of the reader mounting studs. - Power ON the machine
- Enable serial communication on the washer
Go into the settings menu of the washer by swiping left to right across the top. Then Enable the Internal Sapphire setting. - Activate the card reader using the provided Activation Card:
