Parts

  • Reader (with ASSY-02-02-12 board)
  • Cable harness

Installation

  1. Set the machine type and number using the DIP switch found on the reader circuit board: 


    See DIP switch settings page to understand how to configure DIP switch positions to set the machine type (washer or dryer) and number.

  2. Turn machine power OFF!

  3. Remove the coin drop if present

  4. Connect the the cable harness to the RS485 port on the HMI (right behind the touch display)

    This is Port X7. It is the second port from the top on the left (if facing the front of the touch display)



  5. Secure the reader to the front. You may need to drill a few small holes on the front panel

  6. Power ON the machine

  7. Enable serial communication on the washer

    Go into the settings menu of the washer by swiping left to right across the top. Then Enable the Internal Sapphire setting.





  8. Activate the reader using the provided Activation Card:
