Laundrylux Hero Washers
This installation note covers Laundrylux Hero (or Encore Pro) Washers (being installed in a Card ONLY configuration).
These readers use serial control to communication with the machine's control board directly.

you'll want to follow our Laundrylux - Hero Dryers installation article, as Hero Washer and Dryer readers, in a Hybrid configuration, use the same reader boards, and are connected to the machine's coin drop input in the same manor.

Installation
- Before proceeding, you should assign numbers to each of the machines in the laundry room/building. It is highly recommended that you place number labels on each washer and dryer machine.
- Set the DIP switch to number the reader. See Reader DIP Switch settings
- Connections
Simply snap together the small 2-pin connectors (for power) and the larger white connector (power) - Enable serial communication on the washer
Enter Service Mode -> CONFIGURATION -> CONNECTION SETTINGS. And set SERIAL PAUMENT DEVICE to ENABLED - Proceed to secure the reader to the machine
- Activate the card reader with the Store's Activation Card

Set the pricing on the reader using the LaundroPortal.
Troubleshooting
If the reader is show "No Comm with Machine", you may need to update the firmware on the washer using the USB drive that came with the washer.
